What is an eAudiobook?

What is an Audiobook?
Audiobooks are a digital audio version of a printed book that has been placed on a CD, Cassette Tape or Playaway. You listen to them by placing the CD in a CD player, cassette tape player or by using a single book titled Playaway. Audiobooks are sometimes known as a Audio CD set (1 Audiobook that is spread out over many CD’s and is most likely in .WAV file format.), a single MP3 Audiobook is typically on 1 to 2 CD’s and is in MP3 format and must be played on a CD player that supports MP3 files.

What is eAudiobook Streaming?
Streaming eAudiobook content is sent in compressed form over the internet and is played by the listener in real time. When streaming eAudiobooks, a web user does not have to download the whole eAudiobook to play it. Instead, the eAudiobook is sent in a continuous stream of data over an active internet connection and is played as it arrives. If there is no active internet connection then “streaming” cannot occur.
